Chai, a blend of several warming spices, originates from India. The most common blend includes cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and pepper. We mixed our own chai this time round, and it gives a oomph with that dash of turmeric in there. Where do you get your chai mix in Singapore?

Ingredients

5 frozen medium bananas
3 Tbsp coconut oil
1  Tbsp tahini
1  tsp chai spice mix (extra for sprinkling)
1  Tbsp cacao nibs

Method

  1. Put frozen bananas, coconut oil, tahini and chai spices into a high speed blender and blend for a few minutes until it resembles ice cream!
  2. Stir in cacao nibs.
  3. Enjoy the soft-serve if eaten immediately, otherwise send to freeze and eat as a frozen ice cream treat!
